It is estimated that over 97% (and rising) of restaurants use GMO corn. Not only is the corn organic that we use but is also enrolled in the Non-GMO project.  That ensures testing is done so there is no contamination of GMO crops.

Shrimp Cocktail                                                     $18.99 lb
Shrimp farms in Asia are loaded with diseases. Tons of antibiotics are used to combat bacteria and viruses. Chloramphenicol is banned in the US but still widely used in shrimp farms. It has been linked to Human aplastic anemia (lethal blood disorder) and other neurological reactions. The FDA only inspects 1-2% of the ALL seafood that comes across our border. Plus cheap Asian shrimp may contain high levels of PCB’s, which are known carcinogens. We only eat this stuff once in a while, image the people who work in these farms everyday.

Our shrimp is totally a chemical free, antibiotic free product and low density raised. It is called the Right Choice Shrimp.

Items for you to cook at home:
Herb Marinated Wild Coho Salmon Filets          $14 lb

Farmstead Cheese Selection
Sprout Creek Toussaint                                         $22 lb
Great Hills Blue                                                    $19 lb
Chatham Camembert                                            $19 lb
Nettle Meadow Kunik                                          $27 lb

It's wonderful to have a local restaurant that is so committed to serving real, that is, nontoxic, food, & prepares it so deliciously. Also appreciate the reasonable prices, & the commitment to outreach & education concerning nutrition & avoidance of toxicity to the planet, & the humans who raise & eat the food. Thanks for also pointing out the fact that slaves are a common part of the Asian seafood industry, & that these foods are often sold in our local supermarkets. Sure this is illegal but there's no practical means of effective screening.

We would never expect you to eat this shrimp, nor do we serve farmed Asian shrimp
