Aroma Thyme Bistro Market Place
One Stop Shopping
Friday, December 18th
3-6pm
Marcus and I came up with another idea that merits a try. Of course, this was sort of a last-minute idea, but it’s worth a shot.
First off our de-stressing Black Friday night with a massage therapist was a success. And that was sort of another last-minute idea that we took a shot at.
So our next idea is to have a Marketplace for last-minute shoppers at Aroma Thyme Bistro. We are assembling a lineup of local merchants that’ll be on hand selling gift items and or gift certificates. And of course our favorite massage therapist is included in the lineup. In fact, our lineup of marketplace merchants keeps growing as people find out. And this is all come together within the last week.
Here’s the details:
Aroma Thyme Bistro Marketplace happens this Friday, December 18th from 3 to 6 PM. Aroma Thyme Bistro will be serving our full menu all day, because it’s Friday, from 11:30 AM to 12 midnight. And here’s the best part, from 3-6 it’s happy hour!!! So this might work out perfect for most of you, a small bite, an attractively priced drink, a relaxing atmosphere and you’ll get some shopping done.
Here’s a list of the merchants:
Aroma Thyme Bistro (Gift Certificates), RDcreations (cards), Sisteria (Jewelry), Pottery (Sandy Cies), Never a Dull Apron, Children’s Aprons, Wine Toppers, Image, Prashanti Massage, Candles & Canal Street Knife Works
If you are a local merchant and would like to get involved please e-mail Jamie right away at info@aromathymebistro.com.

Gordon Ramsay Sells Off Cash Strapped NYC Restaurant
In a long article chronicling the decline of Gordon Ramsay's fortures this summer, the Wall Street Journal revealed that after shutting down lunch service in his New York restaurant Gordon Ramsay at the London, removing flowers, and adding a $65 pre-theater prix fixe to attract more traffic, he was still $5,000 short of breaking even each month. Fast forward four months, and a court source tells Eater he is currently being sued by vendors for upwards of $100,000.
Thus, it's not a huge surprise that economic realities have led Gordo to transfer ownership of the sinking ship to the restaurant's hotel, as he did earlier this year in both Paris and LA.
On November 22, The London NYC took over as owner and manager of Gordon Ramsay at the London, but as is the case with some of his other properties, the space will keep the Ramsay name (and the two Michelin stars that go along with it). It is presumed that Gordo will obtain some sort of licensing fee, but don't expect to spy the foul mouthed chef anywhere near Midtown.
Here is a letter sent to all vendors last month:

Even The Little Guys up North are Getting Laid Off!!!
“We just aren’t that busy”, says the master gift giver, Santa. “When you don’t have orders to fill, it is tough to watch my little guys stand around all day. They might as well just take a sabbatical”.
Santa claims he still has work to be done, but on a much smaller scale. The Holiday Gift Institute (HGI) is trying to figure it all out. They are a research group that is funded by the big department stores.
Rudolph Phree, head researcher, for HGI is personally reading every letter that Santa receives to see if there is an obvious answer. “Sometimes the reason is right in front of you”, pointed Phree. “And indeed I got our first significant indicator on day one.”
Phree pointed out that Santa was getting way too many requests for gift certificates to their favorite restaurant.
Santa says it best “this Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville NY is my number one request. I just can’t do what they do. I even sent a letter to the owner to leave dinner out for me while I pass through.”
Santa and Phree then went on to look at Aroma Thyme’s website, www.aromathymebistro.com. These two went on for an hour about what they wanted to eat. Santa wants the 46oz Cowboy & Chocolate Torte. Mrs. Clause told Santa to get her the Wild Salmon, Pear & Romaine Salad with the Pecan Mousse Pie. Phree pointed out the Free-Range Buffalo Wings, Kobe Burgers, Local Cheese Plate & eco-friendly Albacore Tuna. Santa added that whole restaurant is Certified Green.
All agree that this restaurant is one of the most eco-friendly restaurants when it comes to cuisine.
Upon further research Phree found out that Aroma Thyme is giving out FREE gift certificates this holiday season. Aroma Thyme is giving you a FREE $25 gift certificate when you purchase $100 in any combination. And a FREE $10 on any combo of $50.
The restaurant can take care of everything on the phone by calling 845-647-3000
